Friday 7th November. Richard has given us all the low down on places to visit and says we must see the Bay of Islands whilst we are in North Island so have driven up to Russell via the scenic route. It claims to have the oldest pub in NZ - The Duke of Marlborough - where we thought we would have dinner but it didn't look all that special and as luck would have it they said they were fully booked despite there being very few tables being used which gave us the excuse to walk out and have a very good fillet steak in Sally's cafe. Spent the night in a studio appartmentwith computer wireless link so thats why I have been able to catch up with the blog and send some e-mails.
